This is a post I copy and pasted from another turkey forum I visit a lot. I’m not sure if this one is still available as it was posted back on Jan 12 of 09. I just know that this tote is too sweet not to share with you guys. I know I’ll be ordering on up after the seasons over seeing I’m getting close to my spending limit for the 09 turkey season. I’ll have mine engraved with Jacob and Nicholas names of it so they have something to fight over when I dead and gone
Anyways….enjoy and be sure to check out Scotts web site linked below photos.
I would like to introduce my newest item.
There are many versions of the ol' "Turkey Tote".... some of which have been shown here and elsewhere and most examples are really beautiful works of art.
For the last couple of months when time allowed, I have been messing around with my own version.
This is what I have come up with...
My Hook Hanger Turkey Sling
I made this proto-type from heavy weight, saddle grade leather. It's fully adjustable with solid brass buckles. The handle is Montana Whitetail and is end capped with Cannarywood. The sling has a middle finger hole where it enters the antler handle.
This is the first time I've ever posted any pics of my work that wasn't already sold. This piece I deliberately left unfinished as far as the leather, just in case the new owner wants any personalized work tooled into it prior to finishing. It IS available. If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM.
Thanks for looking.
Scott
