Have been out several times with no shots. All but one time I have either seen coyotes or heard them so its just a matter of time. jeffcrissoutdoors.blogspot.com/

Same here. We have seen good sign and have had good vocals. But, we are not pulling them in. We are setting up in fields and swamp openings. Just can't get them to break cover. Dan and I have worked to find more land to hunt. There is a farm in Lee that has a running bait pile. I hope to do more there at night. Plus, there is a big UNH farm that borders this farm and we have permits to hunt there too! Dan has done his home work to find huntable land. We have tryed to stay out of WMA's this year as we don't have much luck on this land. We have no time to waste. February is here and we have had good luck this time of the year. Going to try and change it up a bit. Time of day and time of night. Going to get more into the cover and hunt the edge more. Caller location and how Dan and I setup as to the caller location. Sounds. Have been mixing it up a bit and the sound has been turned down a bit. Have been getting a lot of echoing these last stands. New spots and the lay of the land has made this happen. It just doesn't sound right when this happens. I turn the caller down and then I feel I'm not putting the sound out there. Like I have been in the past. I have always played loud. Echoing am I putting to much into this? So, keep after them and I will too! It is great just to be out there amongst them. Highwaystar

Don't forget, Coyotes have crazy good hearing, they will still hear it if you turn it down a bit. No foilage, ice on everything, thin air. Sound will travel.
