Doesn't look like Matthew will be getting another 400 yards game That's what happens when you play the number one defense and not just an average team.

We'd better start thinking about getting a defense before we go around bragging about MC and how good he is. Doesn't matter how many points he scores if the other guys score twice as many. We've been lacking a defense since last year. It really showed in the SuperBowl, and nearly every game since.

Oh you crack me up Ken! I've been waiting to see what you would post So what you're saying that the Patriots are a one team? I mean, we know that’s how the Patriots front office feels seeing they dropped their ticket price hours after they heard Brady was done for the season. I find it funny this year how when they win a game, everyone gives the team praises on how good and versatile they are and how the coaches are the greatest. But when they loose, it’s all because we didn’t have Brady. As far as last year goes, yeah you guys delivered us a shut out but we didn’t have the #1 defense against the run or the #1 defense against the pass last year. Even the golden boy couldn't have stopped us Sunday evening. Now if we had the same ranked defense last year, you probably wouldn’t be able to bring up last years game. I mean come on, it’s not we’ve never beat the Pats before. Look back to see which team was the one to slam the 20 game winning streak to an end. The Steelers baby and as I recall from sitting in the stands that evening, your golden boy Brady was playing He's not un-stoppable If Ben didn’t throw the ball into the arms of your linesmen on our opening drive, you guys would be looking a total of 3 points for the whole game ;D

The pats do a pretty good job of moving players in and out due to injuries...but the QB position is special. Tom Brady cannot be replaced by MC, no way, no how. Brady is one of the best of all times. How many 3rd downs did MC complete Sunday...none? I'm thinking Tom would have been at least 75%. Throw the running game out the window, they showed last year "we are going to throw as much as possible, and you aren't gonna stop us." With Tom, the Pats are undeniably one of the best teams in the NFL, without Tom they are just an average team. That being said, they are doing better this year than I thought they would...I figured a .500 season would be good as soon as Tom went down. Just like I used to say in the 90's about my Sox..."wait till next year" Matty boy was sacked 5 times the other night Meaning your offensive line was not doing their job. As much as I dislike the Pats, you can't blame the game on the quarterback. If your front line can not protect the quarterback (whoever it may be) then they will loose every time period Maybe you offensive line protects Brady different let me think for a second.....well after seeing the replays of the super bowl, I didn't think that's the case you probably would have been in the same boat with him taking snaps. Now, you can tell yourself and me all day long that if Brady was there it would be different but in reality....no one really knows what it would be like other than black gold having the number one defense in the NFL ;D

I just got to chime in here. The pats got out played and I do believe Brady would have been better than MC. He gets rid of the ball quick and can feel the presence of sac coming, but no they are not a one man team. Randy moss droped two touchdown passes and we missed a field goal. What really pisses me off is the fact that Clark was out to take Welker head off. Thats not football when you intentially try and hurt someone. I hope they throw the book at him.

What really pisses me off is the fact that Clark was out to take Welker head off. Thats not football when you intentially try and hurt someone. I hope they throw the book at him. Well apparently it wasn't as intentional as all the Pats fans thought seeing the God All Mighty Goodell didn't hand down a fine (yet ). I understand where you’re coming from. If it was one of my teams guys getting the smack down, I’d be saying something too. In fact, we had what many thought was a questionable smack down last week. I didn’t think so because it was football. Here’s the scenario…..The player’s coming in for the tackle or to make a hit trying to make the receiver cough up the ball. He lowers his head and shoulders to make the play and the ball gets tipped as he’s running full speed toward the receiver leading with his shoulder. According to the NFL (and people who team players is about to or was rocked hard) the defensemen is suppose to see that and stop his action on the spot or in mid air? I see these stupid stupid calls ever week where the defensemen are charging up the pocket to make a sack or knock the ball loose from the quarterback. As he leaps up to sack him or maybe block the ball, the quarterback gets rid of the ball and contact is made. All a sudden it’s a personal foul B*!!S#1%.....It's the NFL people, not touch football or flag football. Football is physical game where people make physical contact! Those players get paid a lot of money to be physical out there on the field and now we’ve got some players that want the money but not what comes with it and are crying about getting hurt or hit too hard. The NFL is going down hill fast with all these stupid “protect the players” rules and fines their dishing out. In 5 years it will be known as NTFL (National Touch Football League)

I agree it is a physical, and I wouldn't want it any other way, but I also believe that there is a time when a player is vunerable and Wes was in that play. The problem the ball was no where near him and they still clean his clock. I can't argue that it happens to all teams and NE isn't inocent here either. I don't want to see plays like that from any team.
That being said the Steelers are looking good. If big Ben can keep his head straight they got a good chance. The true test will be the Titans.

Let's see, ball was deflected well before it got near Welker, Welker had pulled out of his run and was almost stopped when he was hit. Guy had enough time to adjust the run of his tackle to now squarely hit a receiver who had pulled out of his run and almost stopped.
cheap shot.
As for MC, this has been GREAT for him. Look for him to become trade bait during the offseason, well assuming Brady's rehab is proceeding on plan. He's proven he can play, now they will hang him out for trade bait.

I'm not sure but I know it wasn't good I was actually in bed from 10am until the last few minutes on the clock. I didn't feel well after running a few errands this morning so I laid down. Next thing I know I'm up puking and sleeping (that's why I'm on the computer at 2:05 in the morning ) all afternoon I had to get up and plow (sick or not) so I caught the last few minutes of the game before heading out. I felt fine after I got up & out plowing I don't think I want to watch the NFL channel for the highlights of the game.....seeing it didn't sound like we had any
