Has anyone used one? I like to know how well they work and if they're a pain in the butt to carry around & use. With my Dad probably not getting around like he did last year, I was thinking of getting one for him so while out on stand he doesn't get to cold.

I was going to buy one but heard that they might be coming out with a scent lok one next year. I know of people that have them and sware by them, but they are a bit bulky. I will have one at some point. Last year at the end of the season they had a killer closeout sale.

I like to stay as warm as the next guy but these things are just overpriced sleeping bags. Buy wool product to stay warm. Besides, I don't want to look like a huge baked potato sitting in a tree.

As for me, I’m good to go when it come it cold weather hunting. I own a set of Beagle Wear The pants, jacket, hand warmer/with fanny pocket plus a utility pack. All I need to do is throw on a good pair of long jons, wool socks, a sweatshirt, neck gator, my orange hat and a nice pair of wool gloves. Once I've got that on I'm good to go in just about any kind of bad weather My Dad on the other hand is another story. His age, blood thinner meds and the fact his strength isn't 100% from his hospital stay has me a little worried. Masshntr had a great suggestion. I'll just set him up in one of my blinds, a thermos of coffee/coco and plenty of hand warmers. That should keep him good I could even take my Mr. Buddy Heater for in the blind if he gets to cold. Turn that on for 5 minutes and he'll be sweating The wool set up is a great idea but I think the cost of good set up would probably cost more than the Heater Suit plus he wouldn’t have dry cleaners bill every year. If I were to buy the Beagle Wear set up I have today, I'm looking at $705. Believe me though; that Beagle Wear is some incredible gear to own. It’s absolutely awesome stuff! I’m going on my fourth season (and I hunt hard) and it’s still in great shape! I’d drop the $$$ again whenever my set needs replacing in another 4 years
