This is a low-cal, low-carb but very tasty stew... Turkey Stew Recipe * 1 lb turkey (cubed) * 1 medium onion, chopped * 3 cloves garlic, minced [Depends on taste. I used 2] * 4 cups chopped cabbage * 2 medium carrots, sliced * 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained * 3/4 cup water * 1 tablespoon brown sugar * 1 tablespoon white vinegar * 1 teaspoon salt * 1 teaspoon dried oregano * 1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme * 1/4 teaspoon pepper * [ I added ½ cup marsala] 1. In a large saucepan, cook turkey, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, drain. [Because wild turkey is dry, I didn't drain. And I sautéed in ½ stick of butter and marsala] 2. Add the remaining ingredients. 3. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer for 6-8 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
