I think I have one. But why don't you just pop it? they are open for shootin all the time I believe.
When I killed a pile last winter, I would wait till they are out in the open walk up and blind them with my sure fire and then popped then in the head with a .22.
Then I ran like lightning. Some times they would release and some times not.

Some times they would release and some times not. I thought about it because it was just sitting under my porch about 5 minutes before I posted. Got half way down stairs to my gun cabinet before I remembered NG post about "chemical warfare" As nice as the nights have been the last few days, I could not stand the thought of smelling that sucker while trying to sleep.

Hey Tom I have a wooden one made just for skunks, works really good. It closes them in completely and they are in the dark until you let them out. You could even copy it. It's very simple. PM me if you want to use it.

If I can get away from having to take a chance with a blanket, I'm all for it. Thinking I could catch the stinker and then give him a Contoocook wooden boat ride over the falls If I don't make up the wooden box trap, I'll defiantly be dropping you a PM and making a drive. I really like to get rid of this guy before he gets to comfortable around here. We could smell him real bad last night so I went outside with my Big Ben to see if I could find him. I figured if I was going to have to smell him, he was going to die

when i was a kid i set a leg holed trap on a den, i didnt know at the time it was a skunk house. later i c hecked and found out. i shot it with a 22 to get the trap back and it never sprayed. so get a leg hold trap and make a bait pile a fair distance from your house, set a scent trail and trap that sucker. then shoot it id be leary of the wire trap i have with a skunk in it but hey im not the one who is going to try itv

I brought the trap into work and one of the draftsmen is drawing it up on his cad system . I will print it out and send copies to you guys if you want one. I'll post when he gets it done. I've had this trap about 30 years and I have let it out to alot of people. I bet it has trapped 100 skunks over the years.
