This afternoon I was in the shop working on a grunt tube. Now I still have to fine tune things like sanding, buffing and put a finish on it but here it is as is right now. And boy does it sound good ;D I'll be taking this call to out with me hunting quite a bit this year. It will be heading to PA in a few weeksnd for some action down there

Thanks ;D This one is just a Mylar reed but I've been doing a few searches on line looking for different material. Found a few other things on-line that I'll be trying here real soon ;D I don't want my calls to sound like a mass produced call so I'll be trying a few different things to my calls. This should let me be able to fine tune and set my calls a part from other calls Believe me, I've been making a lot of phone calls, reading books and searching a ton of past articles on a call making forums looking to get an edge on producing great calls. I've got 50+ pages printed out full of tips, tricks and advice from the best call makers out there like THO, Kaiser Kalls, Trophy_Taker(Matt), DV and Larry Greeser! These call makers I've mentioned are not only craftsmen in call making but are incredible people for helping me in getting started turning calls! I keep all there advice in different folders (depends on the topic) in my shop for a quick references if I need to know something without bugging them ;D

It's adjustable with sliding ring LOL I think it has some well controlled deep buck grunts. Like I said, I'll be using until I turn another and then this one with go to Jacob I might be taking a trip over to GooseBay Lumber this afternoon and pick up some new wood to turn. Not positive as to what I want to turn but I'm sure it will something nice. I'm also going to make a trip to THO for some other supplies and hopefully I turn and finish a grunt tube tomorrow. Just in case anyone is wondering, as soon as my new tools order arrive, I plan on starting to accept orders for grunt tubes.

That thing is beautiful. If you can make the grunt tubes sound different than all the commercial calls, you will be in business. I think deer tend to catch on pretty quickly when all of a sudden they start hearing tons of loud grunts over and over! Nice Job Tom!
