walmart is starting to phase out selling guns. I beleive as their inventory sells out they are not restocking them I was told Plaistow is sold out and I have not seen any being replenished in Epping. I not sure if they will still do the special orders, but plan to find out.

Wal-Mart stocks seasonally and each store has some leverage in what it stocks, so they might just be not replenishing until closer to fall.
Let us know what you find out.

A person working in the sporting dept. at the Claremont Walmart told me they weren't selling guns anymore . He said they were sending all there guns up to the store in Lebanon. I went in two days later and all the guns were gone. Lebanon still has guns, I was there the other day.

wjsmall,
Not to give you a hard time but the epping walmart is THE WORST walrmart I have ever been in for a sporting goods department. The one in amherst NH, surrounded by liberals, has a better sporting goods department!!!
Manchester is going to cary guns from what the guy said.

I remember reading about this in another forum, can't remember which. Some walmarts will stop selling guns, but others will continue, depends on the location. I think that is what the conclusion was... I personally wouldn't care. It would help out the local gun shops.

regnar, no problem there, they have a dept. manger that don't know sh*t about guns & one of there full timers is an arrogant @ss h*le. Add that to the problem of when a store is under 2 years old corporate does all the store ordering. I was hoping now that they are over 2 years old there models would be more in tune with the needs of the area & not what Arkansas's needs are.

I think walmart, along with many other sporting goods stores, is shying away from the hunting scene more and more. This year i see a very large decline in turkey hunting apparel compared to last year and years past. Concord walmart still has a good selection but manchester and bedford are bare. I would never buy a gun from walmart but still, it's a shame when stores are too worried about the liberal tree huggers.
