Savage 110 in .308 mainly, I'll generally bring my Marlin 94 in 30-30 as a backup, or if the weather's nasty and I don't want to get my optics all fogged up.

I have two, remington 742 in .30-06, topped it with a Leupold VXIII this fall after not being able to find deer at dusk that I could see with naked eye through a cheaper scope.
Inherited my Dad's ruger .44 mag carbine. GREAT GREAT GREAT NH rifle. The kids fight over it to use, light for carrying, light kick, drops deer quick. Though the wife may win out on those fights next year since she is taking the firearms hunter ed this summer with the boys so she will be gun hunting as well as bowhunting, well unless its to cold, to hot or the bugs are out. :-)

My favorite rifle would have to be My TC HAWKEN 50 with a peepsite on it. But I have kind of retired it due aging eyes and now use an Encore 50 with a scope. I just love the single shot.

I have several that I use for whitetail, but the one I like most is the Marlin .450. They don't get up when you hit them with that cannon. A little much, but I like them dead and laying not too far from where they stand.

Remington Model 700 in .270 topped with a 3-9 VX-II Leupold. Can't miss with it and it sure hits em' hard. I also use winchester fail safe bullets.

I'm pretty much a one-gun guy for big game. Ruger M77 Mark II in .30/06, classic look with walnut and blued steel. I reload for it and use it for whitetails, elk, and bear. For predators and varmits, I have an old Win. Model 43 .22 Hornet I bought when I was 16. A real tack driver. I reload for it, as well.

Mine is a Browning A-Bolt All Weather Mt. Rifle in .270 with a Leuopold 3-9x 50. I use a federal Premium 150 Nosler Partition. Never had a buck get up and run. I can say if you don't place the shot well you can do some damage to the edible stuff.

Amen the Swedish Mauser. I have one that was sporterized by Kimber years ago and I shot my deer with it last fall. It's a tac driver and I'll add it to my list of favorites hunting rifles.

once in a while I like to take up north NH my jap 7.7 and flip up the anti-aircraft sights. It's a great conversation pice when bumping into fellow hunters in the woods.`The bad part is that the last time I checked one box of ammo is over 30 bucks!
