For anyone interested, there is a 3D shoot at the Pinnacle Mt. F&G club in Lyndeboro on Sunday August 26th. The shoot is not your usual one, though. This shoot is called the Wadsworth shoot and is primarily a hunting/hunter education shoot. There will be at least two, maybe more, ilegal or unethical shots that you will have to figure out before you let your arrow fly. You won't know when or where they will pop up, that's the "education" part of it. Should you shoot a "bad" shot, you will be fined $1.00. Scoring is different as well. +5, -3 or 0. Anything in the eight or ten ring is a +5 on your score card. Anything outside those two spots, is a -3. A miss is a miss, 0. If the shot is a hard quartering shot and you don't think you can make an eight or a ten...don't shoot. Remember, this shoot isn't about score, it's about being able to make the good shot. They usually have the DART system there as well. If you've never shot this, it's a lot of fun. Step inside the tent and shoot moving video targets like elk and P&Y deer. This is a great shoot to bring the kids to. NHF&G folks are on hand as well to try and answer questions.
