;D ;D Truth is, I'll be doing my spring dance later tonight. I want her to get here as fast as she can I did come across a heavily used deer run crossing a back road near my hunting grounds. I'm thinking of getting out with my snowshoes this weekend and walking the tracks for a while. If I don't find anything that's OK. I'll be learning and gathering some information the whole time for next years hunting season. I'll be sure to take my camera just in case I find anything interesting or maybe just the scenery to share

OK big brother! Where did you find that awesome set? Blunt Rd. or in northern Potomac? Doesn't matter, it's a real nice find Thanks for sharing and making jealous that I'm not don't there finding them myself ;D Sorry shed94 for leaving you out! You're also making me jealous with the sets you found this year. I'm gonna do a anti-shed dance for you both just to slow you down a little ;D ;D No need to be jealous, you know better then anybody finding sheds like those last ones come once a life time from Md.And they didn't come from anywhere near Montgomery county. They came from about another hour further south. I wish every shedhunter at some point or time is lucky enough to walk up on a shed(s) the size of these.Wow,is all I can say!! I'd have been tickled pink to find just one of these never mind both sides. All I can say is I'd rather be lucky then good any day There were 2 other shedders with me when I found these besides Stacy and anyone of them could have walked the line I walked instead of me.I moved Stacy to my right instead of being on the end to better keep track of him or he probably would have tripped over the first half. And he reminded me of moving him after I found that first antler. ;D Here's Stacy holding the set at home. With the snow finally melting I went back out this morning to see if I could find the antlers too the 6pt.The last time out the wind was gusting between 30 to 40 mph and I walked up on him while he was in his bed. But didn't have any luck finding his sheds that day.I did try another afternoon but still know luck.So I figured I'd give it another try today this time the snow had melted enough to find them finally. The first one I found was on a trail. The other side was at least a 1/2 mile away whiched surprised me I thought it would of been a lot closer to the first side as deep as the snow has been. I found it just out side a small set of woods on the edge of a goldenrod field. And here they both are together.

Congrats on finding another match! I was thinking of going out today but decided not to as I wouldn't have had much time. Tomorrow I am going biking so maybe I will stop at some other parts of our land and do some shed hunting. I heard about a 10 point on some land we are renting and my dad saw some tracks of a large buck in some riverbottom we own during rifle season. I will hopefully check both places out. The snow looks like it will be gone by the end of the week!

I am going to the river bottom tomorrow. The place where the ten pointer was seen and the river bottom isn't far apart, so it is possible he could have dropped his sheds in the river bottom.

I didn't find anything Monday. Looks like we will have 2 days of below freezing weather again. Hopefully the snow will be gone next week. Our hillside is mostly bare, with the exception of a few drifts.

I always liked looking right after the snow melts or it's been rain for a while. The leaves are laying flat and sheds seem to really stand out.

Finally found a few this first one was on a trail melting out of the snow. Them I came across this old one buried in the ground. And after. Then I found another old one. A small one under a pine tree. Found this 4pt in the same small pines that I found one last year. About a 1/2 hour later I found the small one under a pine tree. Then I found this old antler buried seems to be a theme this year. And after.
