Seems like the sheds are happening a bit early this year. I've seen a couple of examples of bucks shot in mid-to-late December losing their antlers when they were dressed. I asked "Dr." Dave Samuel, wildlife biologist and writer for Bowhunter and other outdoor magazines. He wrote a article on the matter and sent me a copy. I have it in Word and will send it to anyone interested. Just drop me a PM.

I pulled my camera from the woods last weekend, and have a buck on it in the last week of January still carrying his antlers. Lots of other pictures of antlerless, most of which I can say are does, some I couldn't really tell.

i work with a lady whose husband works at corbin park and she just gave me an HUGE elk shed, that thing must weigh 25 pounds, 7 points, the base is so thick i can get one hand halfway around it, what a monster.

Yupp ill throw one on tomorrow...its in the back of my car you should see people looking at it haha.....i can only imagine the power of an animal that can haul 2 of those around all day...it actually has bark n stuff still on it and a few chips and stuff on the tines like he was doing some brawling.
